The Launch of the Eloquent Tales & Blues Store

Storytelling has always been my compass, from my first novel, Dead Man’s Hand, originally published in 2015, to Drawing Thin, the second installment in the Forger’s series, which followed in 2019. But between those milestones, I discovered the power of flash fiction. The format limits you to one thousand words or fewer. These short, consumable stories let me explore new ideas and go through the writing/editing process with great immediacy.

That shift planted seeds for bigger things, including bringing my fiction to YouTube. The initial pairing in my head was jazz leading into and out of the story to heighten the words. The music side of the project meant returning to my saxophone, the same one I mentioned in the dedication of my second book. After brushing off years of rust with lessons in 2024, I began composing original, blues-inspired pieces to pair with my words.

The result of this endeavor was Eloquent Tales & Blues, a YouTube channel where my original flash fiction meets my blues-inspired compositions. And now, after nearly a year of creating videos and shorts, I’m ready to share the next step in this journey, the launch of the channel’s official storefront.

Here’s what you’ll find at shop.stevenmeehan.com

Despite returning to the stories and their backing tunes, they are fleeting things. They live in the moments you experience them. However, even with the most exceptional of moments, stories and songs fade when the last note ends, or the final line is read. As a result, you need something to anchor them. These anchors are small tokens that allow these ideas and emotions to follow you. Each product has been designed to carry a piece of the Eloquent Tales & Blues spirit. Whether it’s through the logo, my glyph, a backing phrase, or a symbol drawn from the heart of my writing.

What You’ll Find

Thread & Tale, Eloquent Apparel

T-shirts such as A Journey, Starting Quiet, or the glyph-inspired designs (Copper, Parchment, Verdigris), will let you wear your connection to the channel. They’re more than fabric. They are small declarations of identity for those who value imagination and music in equal measure. Then there’s the Eloquent Tales Cap, a subtle but wearable nod to the growing community.

Sip & Story

The Sip & Story line includes the Copper, Parchment, and Verdigris Glyph Coffee Mugs alongside the Eloquent Glass. Each one is designed to hold not just your drink, but the mood of a story waiting to unfold.

Lingering Tomes collection

Lingering Tomes

Journals like Copper Storytelling, Lingering Tome, and Verdigris Tales offer hardcover journals filled with blank lined pages wrapped in symbolism. They’re an invitation to create, dream, or capture the fleeting sparks of thought that stories often ignite.

Beyond the Page

The last major entry in the store is the Dead Man’s Hand: Character Portraits Puzzle. It’s a tactile way to lose yourself in the world of my fiction, specifically the world of Dead Man’s Hand.

What’s Next?

This is only the beginning. As the store grows, you can expect new drops, exclusive designs tied to future stories, and limited-run items that won’t come back once they’re gone. My goal is to make this storefront feel like an extension of the creative journey we’ve already started together.

Whether you want something to wear, something to sip from, or something to write in, you can find it now at shop.stevenmeehan.com.
