Sebastian paused muttering, “Big yikes…” under his breath.
Jimmy's spine locked tight, scanning the shelves and tile.
“If something’s wrong, we'll handle this with tact and style.”
Sebastian blinked, “You're wrong and out of your depth.”
“Whatever you sensed approaching, I'll keep it at bay.”
He popped the box, then skidded as the scattered puffs unsealed.
Jimmy's flailing limbs sent oranges flying as he pinwheeled.
Sebastian ducked low, “This wasn't a problem till you held sway.”
“If ‘big’ means it's growing, then it's closing in here.”
He climbed up the shelves knocking cereal from overhead.
The boxes scattered. The contents broke loose to spread.
Sebastian rubbed his eyes, “There’s nothing here to fear.”
As he crushed more puffed kernels, he went down in dismay.
Sebastian replied, “You're chasing things lodged in your head.”
Jimmy whirled about gripping a loaf like a shield in dread,
"If it hides this well, next time, I’m bolting away.”
