On the way to the Mill Mountain Zoo, there were lots of sights that captivated my mind. This past week, I’ve brought a handful of those to the world. After parking in the lot for the Mill Mountain zoo, we walked along the path and took in the sight from atop the mountain. Sprawling out past the ridge’s foliage was a stretch of field, peppered with trees and just beyond slopping mountains. After studying the distant features, my gaze drifted up to observe the swirling clouds.
Perspective is always important. This time, after studying the swirling clouds, I captured a shot of the swirling clouds. The beauty behind the billowy white features adorning the sky is that they’re the original Rorschach test. Two people can stare at the same cloud and see two different things. What do you see floating through the sky?
To get to the zoo, we had to walk through the Wildflower Garden. While the flowers weren’t really in bloom, we did see a water feature with two small waterfalls, feeding a pair of shallow pools lined with stones.
Walking around the feature, I focused on the lower fall and watched leaves tumble from the upper pond to the lower one. Despite the obstructing fallen leaves, the falling water soothed my mind as the leaves floated along the water.
