Tuning the Room

Two friends stood talking in an empty room.
Sebastian grinned and said, “This silence is a mood.”
Jimmy whirled around and sprang for a broom.
Waving it about, he declared, “I’ll balance out the bloom.”
Sebastian winced, “It’s not a chore. You’ve misconstrued.”
Jimmy dragged a lamp and propped it on a metal chair,
Then dimmed the lights and waved his hands “It needs a tune.”
He grabbed a pillow and snapped its scent into the air.
Then dashed to fix the rest, intent on perfect flair.
Sebastian sighed, “You hear one word and stage a cartoon.”
The solitary candle tipped sending wax down Jimmy's sleeve,
With a yelp, he slipped, crashing backward through a crate.
“I nearly fixed the mood!” Jimmy cried, “I do believe!”
"That rug's thrown off the balance. Now I need a reprieve!"
Sebastian ducked down and stumbled clear of looming fate.
“It’s something felt,” Sebastian said, “not something made.”
Jimmy stood up, then slipped again mid-scene.
“So there’s no way to set it? No way to have it laid?”
He climbed up and examined the wreck arrayed.
Sebastian laughed, “No mood left, now start to clean.”
